Dallas, Texas – May 8, 2017. Teal Group analysts forecast that worldwide military and civil UAS combined production will soar to $20.3 billion in 2025, up from $5.4 billion in 2016, and total $135 billion over the next 10 years. Teal Group released its combined world military/civil UAS market forecast during the AUVSI XPONENTIAL 2017, taking place May 8-11, at Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, Texas.

These significant increases emerged when Teal Group analysts pursued and analyzed these two markets separately, into the recently published 620-page, 2016 Teal Group World MILITARY UAS Market Profile and Forecast, and the 608-page, 2016 Teal Group World CIVIL UAS Market Profile and Forecast.

Teal Group's 2016 world military market study estimates that UAV production will soar from current worldwide UAV production of $2.8 billion annually in 2016 to $9.4 billion in 2025, totaling $69.7 billion in the next ten years. Military UAV research spending would add another $26 billion over the decade.

Civil Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) promise to be the most dynamic growth sector of the world aerospace industry this decade, report Teal analysts in their latest market analysis. The emergence of the commercial UAS market, growth in demand from governments around the world to better patrol borders, and continued consumer drone growth all promise to drive more than a quadrupling of the non-military market over the next decade.

Teal Group’s 608-page, 2016 World Civil UAS Market Profile and Forecast estimates that civil UAS production will soar from $2.6 billion worldwide in 2016 to $10.9 billion in 2025, a 15.4% compound annual growth rate in constant dollars. Over the next decade the market will total $65 billion.
