Dr. David L. Rockwell has been Senior Analyst, Electronics at Teal Group since 1995, where he is editor of Teal's Military Electronics Briefing (MEB) as well as co-author of Teal's annual World Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Systems; Market Profile and Forecast.
Between 1990 and 1995, while completing his Ph.D., Dr. Rockwell was an NSERC (National Science and Engineering Research Council) Project Leader at the University of Toronto, conducting research focusing on remotely sensed topographical analysis. Earlier, he earned a B.A. and M.A. in Military History, and an M.A. in Geography.
Since 2002, Dr. Rockwell has written the quarterly "Eye on Electronics" column for Aerospace America, the journal of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), and is a frequent contributor to The Journal of Electronic Defense and other journals, with a total of nearly 60 published forecast articles and columns. He was responsible for the electronics chapters in Aviation Week & Space Technology's annual Aerospace Sourcebook from 1996 through 2004. He has been quoted in most major defense journals and newsletters, and has been interviewed for radio and television concerning defense electronics issues.
Dr. Rockwell has published two books on combat aircraft for Harper Collins, and taught international economics at LCC University in Klaipeda, Lithuania. He has been affiliated with the University of Cambridge, has conducted research for the University of Amsterdam and the University of Florence, and continues to publish in refereed science journals.
Dr. Rockwell's projects for industry include defense electronics market forecasts conducted for top defense companies including BAE Systems, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, and many others.
